What
do I photograph?
Up till now I
have photographed a large variety of subjects, although, some
of them belong to specific themes. I work whenever I feel inspired to and since
that can be any moment, I carry my camera all the time. In
a way, I'm a hunter-gatherer. I collect "pieces of time", the images
of space. I use photography to abstract reality as I see it and is my intention to expose
the significative of it and not just the concrete. However, there
is something I pursue and that is to photograph in a casual way.
I hardly arrange or stage what I picture, and I don't have any
preconceived ideas. I pick a subject, any
subject that calls my attention at any given moment, prepare my
camera, aim, and push the shutter. If it feels right, if it speaks
for itself and asks to be contemplated nothing else matters. I
just picture it, the essence of what I see.
