For the last 20 years I have photographed many different subjects: landscapes, people, still life, street scenes, etc. It was not until a few years ago that I found out some of my photographs can go together in series. Such is the case for the Skies portfolio. Some others series are bind together by location and time. The Little Tarahumara photos were taken on a one week trip to the Chihuahua Sierra in Mexico. Yet some images stand on their own and only perhaps some day they will form new series. Some examples are "Cleaning The Tonal", "Cathedral Sky", "Lonely Billiard", and others. The truth is I have never set out myself to work in any specific subject. I didn't go to art school so I didn't learn photography like most students do by fulfilling assignments. Instead I simply allowed myself to photograph what I believe I can turn into an image that belongs in my body of work. I guess I'd have been considered a pretty bad student since I have taken years rather than weeks to develop the images found in this site.
